Parthenon in Tarpon Springs

We took our out of state house guest to Tarpon Springs for shopping, sight seeing and lunch.We had our lunch at The Parthenon. George the manager was friendly & welcoming, Shawn our server gave perfect service, our lunch of gyros was awesome...OPA!Tom is part Greek so the food and the atmosphere were very pleasant for him

We went here for ice cream today while on the docks. After a large lunch. They have a wonderful.bakery too

Best gyro I've ever had. And the best prices on the docks. My fiance had the cod and she swears it was the best cod she's ever had. Everyone at our table was extremely satisfied. Highly recommend.

Amazing food and atmosphere

We went to Tarpon Springs for Hippiefest. It was soooooo hot that we needed to get somewhere cooler. The Parthenon offered food. BEST PIZZA EVER!!!!

I have to say I had the best Greek Salad here ever! Perfect amount of dressing and delicious potato salad! Quaint little place with outside tables. Try the Sangria...It's killer with a hint of cinnamon!

Love this place. We started going here after getting tired of Hellas (although I hear they both have the same owners). Parthenon just has good Greek food, friendly service and reasonable prices.

I ate here for the first time also eating my first gyro. Hands down the best food I've eaten. The gyro was about the size of my head and filled me up without a problem. Great food for a great price.

Very good food and friendly staff.

The food was good but sadly the staff is just about the worst group of people you can come across. Rude, not helpful, and most notably lazy. They constantly rolled their eyes when any guest asked them a question and wouldn't help another customer setting up the tables. Overall, the food was good, but if you are looking for good customer service go elsewhere.

Coffee? Their espresso maker appears to just collect dust, so they can just use a coffee syrup to make a drink. I did the same when I worked at Carvel many years ago, but this is a so-called "bakery". I know it's a hellas bakery, but I've never received such a garbage product at a bakery before. Horrible service, food wasn't good. Very disappointed as I drove 1000 miles just to eat here.

Great spot to pick up a quick bite to eat on the sponge docks. The chicken souvlaki was delicious, as expected. I'm pretty disappointed that I didn't get dessert -- do me a favor and try the kataïfi. Don't consider the calories and just go for it.

Great gyro and fast friendly service. Baklava was pricey for one piece ($3.50) but you could buy a tray for less than $15. Iced cappuccino was awesome. We enjoyed it very much.

Rude front counter staff. Rushed. You would think they want your money for a tourist trap. Left without spending a dime and will never go back. Thought we'd try this place for the first time since we have frequented others. Waste of time.

My fiancee and I randomly stopped in here while visiting the craft show and WOW! GREAT FOOD AND GREAT SERVICE! Even the manager was great and helping all employees and guest.

Authentic Greek Gyro.

This is Greek America? The worst gyro ever! It took 20 minutes to make, barely any tzaziki sauce, a scrap of lettuce and a cold wrap. Might as well go to Arby's... you'll have a better gyro at a cheeper price.

It's been great every time we've been there. All of the staff are knowledgeable and fast. The portions are generous. OPA! We love going here.

I dined here with a group, including two children. The other restaurants were packed and this one still had a few tables, so we quickly grabbed one and were pleased with the food.They have a small beer selection and service is a bit slow, but I enjoyed my meal. We started with tzatziki sauce and pita with cucumbers. It was beyond fresh and very delicious. For entrees, I had the chicken souvlaki which was amazing. I'm not sure if it was authentic, but it sure was delicious. I also tried the flatbread pizza which was also good, if not beyond hot. While strollers aren't allowed on the second level (separated from the main floor by two steps), they do not offer

The Parthenon restaurant in Tarpon Springs FL is a nice little Greek cafe that has some super tasty food and desserts.The cafe is bright and air conditioned and very inviting. The staff is friendly and welcoming, if not overly so. The dishes are traditional Greek.. gyros, souvlaki, Greek salad and a Greek pizza round out the main choices. The gyros are stuffed full, so the value is good. One word of warning is that they are not stingy with the onions. So, if you only like them a little or not at all, beware.The food came quickly and was hot and fresh. Again, even though the place is "touristy", it was a good value for the money, and I would definitely recommend the restaurant.

Closest thing to authentic Greek food, I have tasted. The Gyro tasted as good as the Gyro I had in Greece. Must try if your in Tarpon Springs Area.

My overall experience of this place was absolutely awful. The food was decent but the service was terrible. They charged my card with the bill from a different table not once but twice. My account was negative and i therefore could spend no money. The manager refused to do anything about it until he "closed" at 8. I was without money and my days vacation was ruined thanks to them. I would definately not recommend to anyone.

I was genuinely impressed with this little place. We walked in with no expectations and left grinning ear to ear. Our server Wade was exceptional, he exceeded every want or need we could possibly have had. The roasted red pepper hummus is flavorful and very clearly freshly house made. If you’re considering having a meal down in Tarpon, I highly recommend at least giving this place a shot.

It's standard Greek and dessert fare. They don't let you know that this place is owned by the same people who run most of the other bakeries on the same strip. The staff was friendly.
